Update as of June 3, 2022

The health and safety of our visitors have always been priorities – that’s especially true now. Thank you for following these guidelines and policies so we can safely welcome all ages to the Museum.

Open every day | 17 & Under Free
Fall, Winter, Spring Hours: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Summer hours: 9 a.m. – 7 p.m. (Memorial Day – Labor Day)

 


Health & Safety

  • Masks are welcome but not required during your visit. Free masks are available for those who prefer them. 
  • High-touch areas will be cleaned throughout the day, and visitors will find several hand-sanitizing stations placed conveniently around the Museum and Art Lab.
  • We ask that you visit when you are feeling well, and plan to visit another day if someone in your party has symptoms.
  • Proof of vaccination status is not required for daily visitors to the Museum. Some events may require proof of vaccination. In these instances, please be prepared to present one of the following when you arrive:

Your Experience 

  • Virtual experiences have been added to your Rockwell tour – make sure you have a QR-code reader on your mobile device to make the most of your visit! Many newer phone models have one built into the device camera, with no additional app required.
  • Self-guided or docent-led tours for groups and students are available. Submit a reservation form to book your group visit:

FAQ

Do I have to wear a mask?

Masks are welcome but not required during your visit. Free masks are available for those who prefer them. 

I have a group or classroom that would like to visit – can I schedule a tour? 

Self-guided or docent-led tours for groups and students are available. Submit a reservation form to book your group visit:

Can I check my coat/backpack/umbrella, etc.? 

The Rockwell does not have a formal coat check and we do ask that backpacks, umbrellas and other bulky items not be taken through the galleries to protect the artworks. If possible, please leave any additional belongings in your vehicle; if on foot, limited storage is available at the admission desk. 

Will the Museum hold any events this summer? 

Yes, the Museum is in the planning stages of reinvigorating our popular event series. Browse our events listing for fun and educational experiences as they arise.

I’m not able to visit the Museum in person. Can I see your collection online? 

Yes, many objects in The Rockwell’s collection are available to browse via our eMuseum

Can I use the restroom? 

The restroom is available only to paying visitors of the Museum. A public restroom is also available at the Corning Information Center in Centerway Square (just 1 block away from the Museum).  

Where can I park?

Free Parking is located directly behind the Museum. Additional parking is available in neighboring municipal lots; City of Corning parking fees apply, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. 

You can also visit us via a free shuttle bus, which provides service to The Corning Museum of Glass and Welcome Center parking lot, to the front door of The Rockwell Museum. 

Is the Museum or Art Lab available for private facility rentals? 

Private use of the Museum and Art Lab will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Please contact Janelle Steiner at steinerj@rockwellmuseum.org with your inquiry.
