School’s Out, Art’s In: Painted Film Portraits with Artist Erica Unterman
Monday, February 18, 2019 | 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Imagine how you leave your mark on the world. Are you silly or serious? Do you love music and dancing? Or is studying science more your style? What makes you unique, and how can you present that in watercolor and contour lines? In this workshop, we will discover how to create portraits inspired the spotlight exhibition, Yousuf Karsh: American Portraits.

Theater & Movement at the Art Lab with Lee Charlier
Wednesday, February 20 – Friday, February 22 | Times vary

In 2019, The Rockwell’s exhibitions and events unite through the theme of “Questioning Identity” – including the hands-on activities at KIDS ROCKWELL Art Lab. Through creative play and art projects, explore what makes people unique!

In addition to all the hands-on activities at the Art Lab, during February break only Corning Community College theater student Lee Charlier will lead drop-in theater games and movement exercises. Drop in any time during these scheduled times to join in the fun!

Project Highlight: The Masks We Wear

This week only, find a special mask-making project. Stop by the Art Lab to create a mask that reflects your identity – or the identity you wish you had! The Art Lab is open daily, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
