Two-part workshop for kids (age 10 and up)
Limit of 25 participants

Workshop fee: FREE
The Rockwell teams up with the Southeast Steuben County Library (SSCL) to provide this in-depth clay-making opportunity for kids. Participants will learn the traditional Native American coil-building technique to create imaginative creatures out of clay.
Session 1: Friday, March 4
Students will create clay creatures using hand-building techniques inspired by The Rockwell’s exhibit, “On Fire: The Nancy and Alan Cameros Collection of Southwestern Pottery”.
Session 2: Friday, April 1
Students will glaze (paint) their pottery with colorful designs and symbols.
*Please note that all work will need to be fired in a kiln and will be ready for pick-up at The Rockwell about three weeks after the second session. You will be notified when pieces are ready for pick-up.
