Join us for Rockwell Roadhouse – a high-energy live music series featuring regional Americana, folk, and rock bands, right in the lobby of The Rockwell Museum. Let off some steam from your work week at this energetic happy hour event, complete with cash bar and tasty hors d’oeuvres, setting the stage for a great night out in Downtown Corning. Art lovers are welcome to explore The Rockwell’s collection after-hours. Reservations are required by EOD on October 11.
We’re pleased to welcome Aaron Lipp & The Slack Tones back to The Rockwell stage. While wielding a sweet-toned electric guitar, groove hungry upright bass, rock solid drums and a screaming fiddle, The Slack Tones will help you find yourself in a 1950s rockabilly club mixed with dead-on bluegrass flatpicking and new original songwriting. With their new record featuring Oliver Wood of The Wood Brothers, Aaron Lipp & The Slack Tones are kicking the season off right. If you enjoy mind-bending guitar riffs over infectious old school rockabilly rhythms with original songwriting about today’s times and troubles, you won’t be disappointed!
Aaron Lipp has been the frontman and principal songwriter of the local group The Cabin Killers who have performed at many regional venues and festivals. Aaron also spends time working on several Bluegrass and Old Time musical projects with members of The Henrie Brothers. He can be found playing regionally with bands such as The Cabin Killers, Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad, The Campbell Brothers, Axis Armada, Richie Stearns & Rosie Newton, South Hill Cider String Band, The Prickers and The Henrie Brothers, just to name a few.
