Celebrate Pride with The Rockwell
Celebrate Pride with The Rockwell Museum during the month of June. Participate in the Corning and worldwide celebration of the LGBTQ+ community by engaging with art and arts experiences in various ways. The Rockwell is offering the following activities June 1 – 30:
Pride At The Museum
- Free Museum Admission. Receive a free Pride Admission Fan by attending the Corning Car Pride Parade on Saturday, June 4. Just show your Pride fan at the front desk for free admission! Redeemable for free admission to The Rockwell and the Corning Museum of Glass June 4 – 12.
- Pick up a Self-guided Pride Tour featuring queer artists in The Rockwell’s collection when you visit.
- Corning Car Pride Parade will be held on Saturday, June 4 at 11 a.m. Pre-registration is required. Route will begin in Elmira, NY and will end on Market Street in Corning, NY. Register >>
- Print Your Pronouns Workshop on Saturday, June 11 from 1 – 3:30 p.m. in The Rockwell’s Education Center. Use your Pride fan for free Museum admission to drop in anytime during this screenprinting workshop. Bring your own swag to create a unique, one-of-a-kind printed item! White handkerchiefs will also be provided. Learn more >>
- Foil Crown Project at the KIDS ROCKWELL Art Lab is available to family visitors June 1 – 12. Make your own flower crown inspired by the artwork, Demons, Xochipilli, ‘The Flower Prince’ by Martine Gutierrez in The Rockwell’s Collection.
- Rainbow Social Media Challenge– Take a selfie during your Rockwell Museum experience inspired by the colors of the rainbow and share on social media using #RockwellMuseum and #CorningPride. Choose an artwork that predominately features colors that inspire or represent you and how you feel. Once you post the image to your feed with the hashtags, click on them to see a rainbow wall of images! Add a caption about why the colors inspired you!
