Please note that younger children are welcome to register for this workshop, but they will need assistance completing the project. Please be prepared to help them to make their dream catcher by reserving a non-project seat for yourself.
Celebrate your day off from school by making your own Native American-inspired dreamcatcher woven with natural materials, an original web pattern and your creativity. Learn how to thread your own design in a circular shape and have fun adding decorative feather and bead embellishments.
The tradition of the Native American dream catcher is to protect sleeping individuals from negative dreams, which get trapped and tangled in the web and vanish in the light of the morning sun. The positive dreams slip through the center hole and glide down the feathers. The hoop element symbolizes the circle of life, and the woven web represents strength and unity.
New this year: Workshop attendees may pick up a Snack Pack on your way out the door for only $2.00 more.
