10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. | Make a Romare Bearden-Style Collage
Free and open to the public.
No registration required.
Romare Bearden was an extraordinarily talented African-American artist who worked in many mediums, and is widely known for his mixed media collage work. Bearden’s early work focused on unity and cooperation within the African-American community, and believed it was the responsibility of the African-American artist to fight in the struggle for civil rights. Drop in any time between 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. to make your very own colorful collage to tell your very own story!
