In 2018 our beloved building Old City Hall turns 125, holding in its walls a long history as a community center. That’s why we’re inviting artists and performers from the greater Corning community to use an empty gallery as their laboratory and creative gathering place April 27 – May 12, 2018.
At the heart of this pop-up gallery is a challenge – how can an artist present their vision with only bare bones staging? The Rockwell provides the space and limited equipment – the artist brings the space to life. Giant tube looms, poetry readings, modern dance collaborations, live music and more make this year’s Bare Bones Café an event series you cannot miss.
Bare Bones Café is an experience included with regular admission prices and open to any visitors of the Museum. Refreshments will be available to guests as part of the experience.
Give Rockwell membership a try during Bare Bones Café! For just $25, enjoy all Rockwell Individual-member benefits in the month of May. Purchase your Bare Bones Membership at The Rockwell admission desk and enjoy:
If Rockwell membership is right for you, put your $25 towards a year-long membership at the end of the month!
