CORNING, NY – All ages are welcome for family acitvities at The Rockwell Museum this spring break recess, April 13 – April 17, 2014. The Rockwell is in Bloom — Make your own spring themed art projects every day!
Sunday, April 13, Noon – 3 p.m. (Free on Sunday)
Inspired by the new exhibition, On Fire! The Nancy and Alan Cameros Collection of Southwest Pottery, design your own pot with ancient symbols and geometric shapes.
Monday, April 14, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Cactus plants bloom vibrant flowers in the spring. Try your hand at sewing your own felt cactus pouch.
Tuesday, April 15, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Cut out paper feathers and use them to construct your own windmill. Test it outside on the next windy day.
Wednesday, April 16, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Have fun with clay and learn how to build simple coil pottery.
Thursday, April 17, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Before technology, children made their own toys. Create your own bug puzzle using popsicle sticks and your imagination.
