Travel Program Terms & Conditions

What Is Included in the Trip Cost:

  • Expertise of an experienced trip planner and access to a local guide throughout the trip
  • All gratuities for the trip planner, local guide, and bus driver
  • All gratuities for trip events
  • Pre-tour information
  • Transportation during both days of excursions
  • Dinner at The Smith
  • Lunch for both days of excursions
  • All visits as noted in the itinerary

What Is Not Included in the Trip Cost:

  • Travel expenses
  • Transportation to trip starting point on both days
  • Accommodations
  • Any meals beyond what is listed above

Payments

Full payment is due at the time of registration.

Friends & Family

Friends and family of Rockwell Members are invited to attend the trip at the member rate.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

Following enrollment, a participant’s withdrawal from the trip for any reason, including, but not limited to, illness, injury, family engagements, work-related issues, etc., will be deemed a cancellation.

Refunds will be given on the following basis:

  • Cancellation if you find a person to take your place: Full Refund (trip fee must be received by alternate participant before refund is issued)
  • Cancellation without a person to take your place: No Refund (unless The Rockwell Museum has a confirmed replacement from the waiting list, call for details)
  • Cancellation by The Rockwell Museum: Full Refund

The Rockwell Museum recommends that all participants purchase travel insurance.

If you have scheduled your own airfare and it is delayed or if for any reason you are prevented from joining the trip on the scheduled date and time or if you choose to leave the trip early, we cannot provide a full or partial refund.

The Rockwell Museum reserves the right to cancel the trip due to low enrollment.

Physical and Medical Considerations

To enjoy the travel experience, participants should be in good physical and mental health. The trip requires an element of walking (up to two miles per day) and of climbing stairs. Participants should have sufficient stamina to keep pace with an active group on long days of touring. If you have any questions about your ability to participate in the trip, please call the Museum at 607-974-2333. Any physical condition, diet, or special request must be identified in writing to smithb@rockwellmuseum.org.

Itinerary or Trip Modifications

The Rockwell Museum reserves the right to make adjustments to the trip itinerary as we see fit.

Every effort will be made to carry out the trip as planned, but adjustments may still occur after the final itinerary is sent.

Hotel Accommodations

Trip participants are responsible for securing their own accommodations.

Children

The trip is designed for adults.

Special Travel Arrangements

Should you decide not to participate in certain parts of the trip or use certain goods included in the trip, no refunds will be made for those unused parts of the trip or goods.

Photography

Participants on the trip may be photographed for the educational and promotional purposes for future trips. This content may be used in marketing publications and posted on websites to promote The Rockwell Museum. Participants who prefer not to be photographed must notify the Museum in writing prior to the beginning of the trip.

READ CAREFULLY: RESPONSIBILITY STATEMENT AND LIABILITY DISCLAIMER

Neither The Rockwell Museum, trip planner, nor guide shall be held liable for personal injury, death, property damage or accident, delay or irregularity arising out of any act or omission of the suppliers during the trip. The Rockwell Museum, trip planner, and guide reserve the right, without penalty, to make changes in the published itinerary whenever, in their judgment, conditions warrant, or if they deem it necessary for the comfort, convenience, or safety of the participants.

The Rockwell Museum reserves the right, without penalty, to withdraw the tour announced, to decline to accept any person as a participant in a trip, or to require any participant to withdraw from the trip at any time (including, but not limited for inappropriate, or offensive behavior) when such action is determined by trip staff to be in the best interests of the health, safety or general welfare of the trip group or the individual participant.

Dates, schedules, trip details, and costs, although provided in good faith based on information available at the time of publication on the website, are subject to change and revision.

AS A CONDITION OF ACCEPTANCE OF ANY RESERVATION, EACH PARTICIPANT MUST AGREE TO THE STATEMENT SET FORTH BELOW:

The undersigned has read carefully the Responsibility Statement and Liability Disclaimer set forth above, the schedule of activities for this trip, as well as the terms and conditions of registration and participation as set forth in the tour collaterals, and recognizes and accepts any risk associated with the trip and the conditions, including the refund policy, set forth in the trip collaterals. The undersigned further acknowledges that there are many risks and uncertainties inherent in any trip, including but not limited to the hazards of various modes of transportation, forces of nature, theft, illness, and damage to person or property due to the negligent acts or omissions of trip staff or others. In consideration of, and as part payment for, the right to participate in the trip, the undersigned, on behalf of himself/herself, his/her dependents, heirs, executors, administrators and assigns, agrees to release The Rockwell Museum, its contributors, officers, directors, employees and agents, from liability for personal injury, death, property damage or loss suffered by any person in connection with this trip, even if caused by the negligence (but not the reckless, willful, or fraudulent conduct) of trip staff or other related persons or entities. In addition, by registering for this trip, the participant certifies that he or she is mentally and physically capable of full participation in this trip. By registering for this trip, the participant agrees to the Responsibility Statement and Liability Disclaimer and the Terms and Conditions herein.
