Join us for the opening celebration of Wendy Red Star, Apsáalooke: Children of the Large-Beaked Bird, a special summer exhibition at the Art Lab. Be the first to view this exciting, kid-friendly exhibition, plus participate in art-making including a special hands-on activity facilitated by Rockwell Educators.
Multimedia artist Wendy Red Star, a member of the Apsáalooke (Crow) tribe, creates art to offer a narrative of Native people in America that focuses on an Indigenous perspective. Children of the Large-Beaked Bird provides an opportunity for children and adults to look at the history and identity of a people told through their point of view. Families will find hands-on art activities alongside historic drawings and photographs.
