Monday, January 8, 2018
1:30 – 3:00 p.m.
This program is offered free of charge for individuals with dementia and their caretakers. Registration for the Meet Me at the Museum programs is strongly encouraged. Please contact the Alzheimer’s Association to register by calling 800.272.3900.
The Rockwell believes in advancing the desire of our founding collectors, Bob and Hertha Rockwell, to make the art collection accessible to as many people as possible. That’s why we’re pleased to once again partner with Corning Museum of Glass to offer the Meet Me at the Museum program, a collaboration with the Alzheimer’s Association.
This month, guests attending the Meet Me at the Museum program will be hosted to an afternoon of Haudenosaunee (Iroquois) art and culture. A gallery dedicated to Haudenosaunee was added to The Rockwell’s permanent collection galleries in November of 2017. The program will include a gallery discussion, Native American drumming and singing with Sandra and Joseph Windwalker and the making of memory necklaces led by Barb and Bob Wood. The afternoon will include light refreshments.
If you would like more information about the program, please contact Mary Mix, Senior Museum Educator by calling 607.974.4305 or by mail at mixm@rockwellmuseum.org.
We look forward to seeing you!
