Are you free Friday night? We are! The Rockwell is a proud participant of Urban Arts Crawl.

The Smithsonian American Art Museum, in partnership with Intel, is sending the digitized wonder of No Spectators: The Art of Burning Man on the road. No Spectators brings the large-scale, participatory work from this desert gathering to Smithsonian Affiliate museums around the country via Virtual Reality. This immersive 3D experience allows visitors to “see” this exhibition at the Renwick Gallery in Washington D.C. Access to the exhibition is included with Rockwell Museum admission.

*Intel requires all participants be over the age of 13.

    About Burning Man

Each year in Nevada’s Black Rock Desert, a city of more than 70,000 people rises out of the dust for a single week. During that time, enormous experimental art installations are erected and many are ritually burned to the ground. The thriving temporary metropolis known as Burning Man is a hotbed of artistic ingenuity, driving innovation through its principles of radical self-expression, decommodification, communal participation, and reverence for the handmade.

    Urban Arts Crawl

Urban Arts Crawl celebrates the burgeoning, unique art scene in historic Downtown Corning, each month presenting distinct artists, exhibitions, and cultural experiences. A self-guided, art-centric trail held on the final Friday of each month, The Crawl includes stops at internationally acclaimed museums, community art centers and independent galleries alike. Whether you’re a seasoned art collector or just out to see something different, the Urban Arts Crawl in Corning will delight your creative side.
