Community partners will be offering mini-workshops on art, crafts, LGBTQ+ history, trivia, drag and more, followed by a DJ dance party.

Art & Identity: Hidden Stories of Women Artists

Amy Ruza, Youth and Family Programs Educator and Taryn Nie, Membership and Grants Manager will highlight women artists and themes of art and identity, connected to underrepresented artists and cultures as one of the Teen Pride Night activities. Select artwork from The Rockwell Collection will be shared in a fun and interactive discussion. Participants are encouraged to think about how the stories of these artists might relate to their own identities and personal challenges. The activity will end with a scavenger hunt item to find and share on social media connected to the program theme.

    Rockwell Scavenger Hunt Item:

Find an object that expresses something about who you are.
It can be found in your home or outside in nature. It can be anything that you feel connected to. Ex: sunglasses, a shell, a bird’s nest, a poster, or something you made. Add a 1 – 2 sentence caption that explains why this object is special to you and share it using #RockwellMuseum #PRIDE #TeenPrideNight2020
