In February, Mary E. Mix, Director of Education, will present on Reframing History through the Lens of Diverse American Artists.
Join us in exploring how contemporary artists are using their art to illuminate and reveal different variations of historical narratives. Contemporary artists are challenging the often omitted or one-sided recording of events in American history. They are using their art to elevate their voices and stories, which have long been underrepresented in the American story. We will also explore how these artists are drawing visual inspiration from Classical, European and American art movements.
