    About the Artist

Shannah Warwick is a new instructor to the Finger Lakes Region. She moved from Philadelphia where she taught numerous workshops and classes at University of the Arts and Drexel University to name a few. She currently designs for her fashion line, BlckBts. BlckBts features hand dyed silk chiffon pieces nunofelted with merino wool. The line is avant garde and fashion forwards with a strong accessory feel. The pieces include dreads fringe, chain, and leather detail. Teaching and designing work hand in hand for Shannah and she loves facilitating students experiencing that “magic” moment when the fabric is washed and the dye color is revealed. Nuno felting adds a new dimension to the work as the fabric shrinks and becomes fully textured.  Shannah also strives to leave her students with enough information and inspiration to continue exploring the mediums she introduces.
