Free and open to the public
    Saturday & Sunday, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
    Location: 36 E. Market Street

KIDS ROCKWELL Art Lab is a new interactive family studio, located just around the corner from the Museum at 36 E. Market St. in Corning. Be one of the first to see and explore this new space!

Young art explorers will love getting creative with hands-on projects; families will love the opportunity for exciting and authentic playtime in a relaxed, drop-in environment. Activity stations at the Art Lab are all inspired by the artwork and architecture of The Rockwell, with the goal of making art accessible to kids and inspiring an appreciation for art at a young age. The best part? Kids and teens (17 and under) are always free!

What’s new at KIDS ROCKWELL Art Lab?

As The Rockwell celebrates the 125th Anniversary of its home in Old City Hall, many of the activities are inspired by the architecture of the historic building and its rich history in Corning. Here’s what you’ll see and do at the Art Lab this season…

    • Cardboard City – Use your imagination to construct a community out of cardboard, then add your creation to the neighborhood! The possibilities are endless…
    • Build with Shapes – At the light table, play with pattern, light and color using geometric shapes to construct a building or sculpture of your own imagining!
    • Design Your Own Tin Tile – Starting with a simple square tin sheet, use a stylus and rubber tools to draw and create your own historically-inspired tin tile
    • Magnet Boards – Piece together Rockwell artworks with interactive magnet puzzles
