The Rockwell believes in reaching all audiences with in meaningful ways through a commitment to authentic educational and cultural experiences. That’s why we’re proud to once again partner with the Southeast Steuben County Library for Art Explorer’s Story Hour.
This month: Gotta Go! Tales of Migration
Children’s Librarian Sue McConnell will read Going Home: The Mystery of Animal Migration by Marianne Berkes. Then, explore and share with NEW Art Hunts and gallery activities for youth, created fresh each month in connection with the book theme.
Attendees are invited to explore the galleries after story time for free, including a visit to the hands-on Family Exploration Studio. New Art Hunts and gallery activities for youth are created each month in connection with the book theme, and are also available at no charge.
About Art Explorer’s Story Hour
On the first Thursday of each month, The Rockwell Museum and The Southeast Steuben Library team up for a story-time experience. Children’s Librarian Sue McConnell will read stories linked to The Rockwell’s collection. Toddlers, preschoolers and their caregivers are welcome.
