Volunteer Opportunities

Our volunteers are more than just appreciated members of the Rockwell community — they are the very foundation of our success.

DOCENT

If you are passionate about fostering meaningful, interactive experiences with children and adults, consider becoming a docent! Our docents have endless opportunities to lead diverse adult tours, as well as a wide variety of fun and engaging school and youth tours. You can even go on the road and participate in our outreach programs at local schools.

PROGRAM ASSISTANT

If you enjoy facilitating creative learning experiences for families, consider becoming a program assistant! Assistants enjoy participating in several well-attended family programs throughout the year. You will also have numerous opportunities to assist with art activities, student exhibitions, and other museum-related events.

REQUIREMENTS

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must pass a background check
• Must attend a mandatory orientation as well as trainings held throughout the year

COMMITMENT

Minimum of 30 hours per year, beginning in the twelve months following the completion of training.
